That’s a lot of Kitchen Knives…

Last Friday, Williams-Sonoma Inc. www.williams-sonoma.com  announced its 06 financials. eCommerce continues to represent a big piece of pie for the retailer – who’s products are also sold in stores and by catalog. 

In fact, WS.com is closing in on becoming the next member of the Online “Billion Dollar Club” an auspicious but small group of companies that have really found the secret sauce in online retail.

 Williams-Sonoma grew web sales by 21% to $927.6 million in 2006.  Overall, eCommerce chipped in for 25% of total sales – that’s BIG. News like this is always great to hear, particularly the % of total sales number – 25% is nothing if not “material” to this retailing giant

On a personal note, I am hoping to snag one of their “Monogrammed Steak Branders” before the summer hits, as it is sure to be the next big thing on the BBQ circuit…
